Flooded Garage
July 17 2012 saw Toronto’s east end receive 6.5 inches of rain in
3hrs. Fortunately all my electrical tools were off the floor and nothing got
damaged. The rain flooded my garage and carried with it mud from my garden. Bad
things happen at opportune times and this prompted me to clear the Jag out of
the garage and power wash the floor and lay the plastic in place. I will be
painting the car on Wednesday or Thursday this week.
At this time I have sprayed the car with Self etching primer over
the bar metal and 2 coats of base primer. With the whole car primed, I have then
sprayed 2 coats of filler primer, sanding with 220 between coats. I am now using
spot glazing on the last few issues, and next I will wet sand the car using
400-600 paper. This will be done in the driveway. Fingers
crossed.
